MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT

E-Code Technology Ltd is committed to conducting business responsibly and ethically. Although we are not currently required to publish a statement under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we have chosen to do so voluntarily as part of our commitment to responsible working practices and supply-chain transparency.

Our commitment

Modern slavery can include forced labour, servitude, human trafficking, debt bondage and other forms of exploitation.

E-Code Technology Ltd has zero tolerance for modern slavery or human trafficking within our own operations and expects the businesses and individuals we work with to operate lawfully, ethically and with respect for fundamental human rights.

About our business

E-Code Technology Ltd is a UK-based fire, security and life-safety engineering company providing installation, maintenance and technical support services to commercial, public-sector and specialist organisations.

We are a small business with one directly employed member of staff and engage specialist subcontractors where required to deliver particular projects or services.

Our supply chain

Our principal supply-chain relationships include:

  • UK distributors of fire, security and life-safety equipment;
  • equipment and system manufacturers;
  • specialist subcontract engineers and trades;
  • professional and technical service providers; and
  • general business suppliers.

We primarily purchase equipment through established UK-based manufacturers and distributors and do not currently import equipment directly from overseas.

We recognise, however, that some products supplied through UK distributors may ultimately have international manufacturing supply chains.

Our assessment of risk

Given the size and nature of E-Code Technology’s operations, we consider the direct risk of modern slavery within our own business to be relatively low.

Potential areas of indirect exposure include the international manufacturing supply chains behind equipment and components and the use of subcontracted labour.

We therefore aim to take an approach that is proportionate to our size, the nature of our business and the level of risk involved.

Suppliers and subcontractors

We aim to work with established and reputable UK suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors.

We expect organisations and individuals working with E-Code Technology to:

  • comply with applicable employment and labour legislation;
  • ensure that employment is freely undertaken;
  • not use forced, trafficked or bonded labour;
  • provide lawful and appropriate working conditions; and
  • treat workers fairly and with dignity.

E-Code Technology does not currently operate a formal supplier auditing programme. Given the present size and structure of the business, we instead maintain direct relationships with our principal suppliers and subcontractors and remain alert to potential concerns.

Our approach will be reviewed as the company, workforce and supply chain develop.

Reporting concerns

Anyone working for, supplying or subcontracting to E-Code Technology is encouraged to raise concerns if they suspect that modern slavery, exploitation or unethical employment practices may be taking place in connection with our activities or supply chain.

Concerns can be reported directly to the Director and will be considered seriously and handled appropriately.

Where necessary, we will seek professional advice or refer concerns to the appropriate authorities.

Our ongoing approach

During 2026, our approach has focused on:

  • sourcing equipment predominantly through established UK distributors and manufacturers;
  • maintaining direct relationships with subcontract engineers;
  • remaining aware of modern-slavery risks when choosing suppliers and subcontractors; and
  • ensuring concerns can be raised directly with the Director.

As E-Code Technology grows, we will review whether additional measures are appropriate, which may include incorporating specific modern-slavery expectations into supplier or subcontractor documentation and introducing more formal supplier checks where risk justifies them.

Our commitment for the coming year

During the next reporting period, E-Code Technology will continue to review the nature of its supply chain and subcontractor relationships and take proportionate action where any increased risk is identified.

This statement will be reviewed and updated annually.
